FAQs

1. The Triune God (The Trinity)

We believe in one eternal God who exists in three distinct, co-equal persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. This doctrine is known as the Trinity. God the Father is the personal, eternal Spirit who presides over all things; Jesus Christ is the Incarnate Son and Redeemer; and the Holy Spirit is the active, operative presence of God in the world and in the lives of believers. This one God is the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of the universe.

2. The Authority of Scripture

We believe the Bible (both the Old and New Testaments) is the ultimate source of truth, as it is God’s complete, inspired, and infallible written revelation of Himself to humanity. It is fully trustworthy and serves as the final, supreme, and ultimate authority for all Christian faith, doctrine, instruction, and practice.

3. Mankind, Creation, and Sin

We affirm that mankind was purposefully created in the direct image of God to enjoy a direct, loving relationship with Him. However, through voluntary disobedience (sin), humanity fell from grace. Consequently, all people are born with a sinful nature, separated from God, and are spiritually lost, incapable of saving themselves through their own merit or works.

4. Jesus Christ, Savior and Lord

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is fully human and fully divine. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the perfect, sacrificial atonement for human sin, was buried, and was resurrected bodily on the third day. He then ascended into Heaven where He now reigns at the right hand of the Father. We affirm His eventual Second Coming to earth to judge all people, both the living and the dead.

5. Salvation by Grace

We believe that salvation, which includes the forgiveness of sins and eternal life, is a free gift received only by God’s grace through faith. It is not earned by good deeds or religious rituals, but is appropriated solely through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ and the shedding of His blood on the cross. Once salvation is received, it leads to a transformed life of discipleship.

6. The Covenant Relationship and Ordinances

A believer enters into this covenant relationship by faith in Jesus Christ. The New Testament teaches that this acceptance of God’s grace involves four key steps:

  1. Belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

  2. Repentance of sin (a change of mind and direction).

  3. Confession of Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and Savior.

  4. Baptism by immersion into Christ, symbolizing death to the old life and resurrection to a new life in Him.

This baptism is understood as an essential act of faith that visibly demonstrates commitment to the new covenant.

🏡 The Importance of a Home Church

While PrayerConnect provides a vital digital sanctuary for prayer, we are dedicated to supporting the whole Christian Church.

  • We strongly encourage and expect all PrayerConnect members to actively belong to and participate in a physical, local home church.

  • Digital connection is powerful, but discipleship, service, and sacrament are best experienced within a local body of believers.

  • We view our role as a complement, helping you deepen your prayer life so you can be a stronger, more engaged member of your local congregation.

Absolutely not. We believe that discipleship and community are essential and best experienced locally. We exist to complement your local home church, helping you grow your prayer life so you can be a stronger member there.

We are exclusively focused on prayer and spiritual revival. Unlike general platforms, we prioritize intercession, commit to 100% financial transparency, and strongly encourage all members to actively belong to a local home church.

Anyone who is willing to participate in a positive, encouraging, and respectful manner is welcome to join our community and access our prayer resources.
