End User License Agreement (EULA)

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“User” or “you”) and PrayerConnect (“Licensor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for the use of the PrayerConnect mobile application (the “App”) available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use the App.

1. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on a mobile device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with the PrayerConnect service.

2. License Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
  • Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the App or any rights to it.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices in the App.
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of our Terms of Service.

3. Account and Service

The App requires an internet connection and a PrayerConnect account to function. The App connects to the PrayerConnect service at prayer.prayerconnect.church. Your use of the service through the App is governed by our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

4. Data and Privacy

The App collects and transmits data as described in our Privacy Policy. Key points specific to the App:

  • Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-native secure storage.
  • The App communicates with our servers exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections.
  • The App does not access your device’s camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or location services.
  • The App does not contain advertising or third-party tracking.

5. Content

You retain ownership of prayer content you submit through the App. By submitting content, you grant us a license to display and process it as described in our Terms of Service. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and its appropriateness.

6. Updates

We may release updates to the App from time to time. Some updates may be required for continued use. You agree that we may automatically update the App on your device when a new version is available, subject to your device settings.

7. Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated. We may terminate this Agreement at any time if you fail to comply with its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies from your devices. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by deleting the App from your device.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

The App is a communication platform for prayer communities. It does not provide spiritual counseling, pastoral care, medical advice, crisis intervention, or professional services. If you are experiencing a crisis, please contact appropriate emergency services.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE OF ACTION OR THEORY OF LIABILITY.

10. Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

  • This Agreement is between you and PrayerConnect only, not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App.
  • In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims.
  • In the event of any third-party intellectual property claim, PrayerConnect, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement. Upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

11. Google Play Store Additional Terms

If you downloaded the App from Google Play Store, the following additional terms apply:

  • This Agreement is between you and PrayerConnect only, not with Google LLC (“Google”).
  • Google is not responsible for the App or its content.
  • Your use of the App must comply with Google Play’s Terms of Service.
  • Google is a third-party beneficiary of this Agreement and may enforce it against you.

12. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
