Version: 2026.2

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the PrayerConnect website at prayer.prayerconnect.church (the “Website”), the PrayerConnect mobile application (the “App”), and all related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by PrayerConnect (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide a valid email address and your name to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account, as it is used for authentication.
  • You may not create an account using a false or misleading name or an email address you do not own or control.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You may only maintain one account per person.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: submitting, sharing, and supporting prayer requests within church communities. You agree NOT to:

  • Submit content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Submit content that promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activities.
  • Use the Service to spam, solicit, advertise, or promote commercial products or services.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts, data, or any part of the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service.
  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service.
  • Use the Service in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law.

4. Prayer Request Content

4.1 Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all prayer request content you submit. By submitting content to the Service, you grant PrayerConnect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and process your content as necessary to operate the Service, including sharing with organization members when you choose to make a prayer public.

4.2 Content Moderation

Prayer requests are processed by an AI content moderation system to check for inappropriate, abusive, or harmful content. Requests that are flagged may be held for manual review. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or that we determine is harmful to the Service or other users, without prior notice.

4.3 Community Reporting & Blocking

We provide tools that allow you to report objectionable content and block other users:

  • Reporting: You may flag any prayer, comment, or update that you believe violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, typically within 24 hours. Submitting a report does not guarantee removal — we evaluate each report against our Community Guidelines and take appropriate action.
  • Blocking: You may block any other user at any time. Once you block someone, their prayers, comments, and updates are hidden from your view, and they are prevented from commenting on your prayers. You can manage and reverse your blocks in Privacy Settings. Blocking is a personal, user-level setting; it does not remove the blocked user’s content from the Service or notify them that they have been blocked.
  • False reports: Reports submitted in bad faith, or repeated spurious reports of content that does not violate our rules, may themselves result in account action against the reporter.

4.4 Moderation Actions

When we determine that content or conduct violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, we may take any of the following actions at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

  • Remove or hide specific content
  • Issue a warning
  • Suspend or permanently terminate the offending account (“ejection”)
  • Archive or delete all content created by a terminated account
  • Revoke any active session tokens, forcing the user to sign out of all devices
  • Report unlawful activity to relevant authorities

Severity of action is based on the nature and pattern of the violation. We are not obligated to warn users before taking action for serious or repeated violations.

4.5 Appeals

If your account has been suspended or terminated and you believe this was in error, you may appeal by replying to the suspension email, or by emailing prayer@prayerconnect.church within 30 days of the action. Include your registered email address and a brief explanation. We will review appeals and respond within three (3) business days.

4.6 Sensitive Content

Prayer requests may contain sensitive personal, health, or spiritual information. You acknowledge that when you choose to share a prayer publicly, this content will be visible to members of your organizations. You are responsible for the content you choose to share.

4.7 AI-Generated Prayer Text

The Service uses AI to generate formatted prayer text based on your prayer request. This AI-generated content is provided as a convenience and does not represent the views or endorsement of PrayerConnect. You may view and share the original prayer request text instead.

5. Organizations

  • Organizations are created and managed by their administrators.
  • Organization administrators control membership, permissions, and organization settings.
  • When you join an organization, your name and email are visible to organization administrators.
  • Organization administrators may remove members at their discretion.
  • Public organizations are visible in the Organization Directory. Private organizations are accessible only through direct invitation.

6. Email Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional emails necessary for the Service, including:

  • Authentication passcode emails for login
  • Prayer processing notifications
  • Organization invitation emails

You may control optional notification emails (prayer support digests, member joined notifications, join request notifications) through your Notification Settings.

7. Termination

  • By You: You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account deletion directly in the app under Privacy Settings → Delete My Account, which initiates a 7-day grace period during which you may cancel the request. You may also request deletion by contacting prayer@prayerconnect.church.
  • By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or our Community Guidelines, for conduct that we determine is harmful to other users or the Service, for repeated reports from other users against your content, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Section 4.5 (Appeals) describes the process for contesting a termination.

Upon termination (whether voluntary or involuntary), your right to use the Service ceases immediately. All active session tokens are revoked, and your content is archived or deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You will not be permitted to create a new account using an email previously associated with a terminated account without our prior written consent.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, functionality, and content (excluding user-submitted prayer content), is owned by PrayerConnect and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
  • Any content submitted by users is accurate, complete, or appropriate.
  • AI-generated prayer text will be accurate, appropriate, or theologically sound.
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRAYERCONNECT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR PERSONAL INJURY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY DOLLARS ($50), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PrayerConnect and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our Website with a new “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you should stop using the Service.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and End User License Agreement (for mobile app users), constitute the entire agreement between you and PrayerConnect regarding the Service.
